Parking

The Visitor Center has multiple large parking lots which fill up early and there are large parking spots for RV's there as well

The Desert View Watchtower also has a larger parking lot. There is a section just for busses and RV's here as well

The Overlooks each have parking areas of varying sizes from pull offs along the side of the road or small parking lots

Shuttle Services are available to park guests. The shuttles will take you around the park for free

Bright Angel Bicycles offers rentals for bikes, strollers and wheelchairs and other gear you might need. They are located in Lot 4 at the Visitor Center. You are able to reserve these items online 24 hours in advance

Bathrooms

There are multiple bathrooms throughout the park. They were well stocked and clean during my visit

Bathrooms are not available at every pull off, but it's not hard to find one when you're in need

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed on the trails and overlooks above the rim. Pets are not allowed to be taken on trails that go below the rim

I would look at the area before taking your dog with you just to be careful. Not all areas have fencing or railings. If your dog is strong they might be able to pull you closer to the edge then you want to be

The Grand Canyon has their own kennel which takes reservations by phone. It's located in the woods and is pretty secluded

So Many Overlooks

Is it busy?

It wasn't too busy when we went in the beginning of May

I found it pretty easy to find parking at any of the spots we stopped at and never felt too crowded
